Vanaf de originele os9 installatie cd die ik ooit eens gekocht heb wil ik een schone installatie doen op mijn G4/400 mhz tower.
Maar, als ik de installer open dan krijg ik de volgende melding;
"This program cannot run on your computer. See the documentation for more information"
Ook de bijgeleverde restore cd kent dit probleem.
Uiteraard kan ik in de "documentation" niks vinden over dit probleem. En alles wat er over staat (turn of filesharing, start up with only apple extensions, turn off protection programs like virusscanners etc.) dat helpt niet.
Voorst kan ik ook niet van de cd opstarten. Als ik "C" ingedrukt houd tijdens het opstarten dan krijg ik een mapje met afwisselt een vraagteken en een lachend mac hoofdje erin op mijn scherm.
Aangezien deze mac enorm veel kuren vertoond lijkt me toch handig om het geheel te herinstalleren. Iemand ideeën om me hier uit te helpen? |

| Heb je misschien in de tussentijd de firmware van je PowerMac opgewaardeerd? Het zou kunnen zijn dat de (wat oudere) OS 9 CD de firmware niet herkent waardoor hij weigert te installeren. Is het echt een OS 9.0 CD? Voor firmware 4.2.8 heb je geloof ik minimaal 9.1 nodig. |

Firmware downgraden kan niet, ik denk dat je op zoek moet naar een OS 9.1 of hoger full install CD. |
