Ik heb hier thuis een Bose SoundTouch 30 III als muziek systeem en deze ondersteund geen Airplay meer. De connectie tussen de iMac en de Bose gebeurt via Bluetooth.

Vroeger met Airplay zag je netjes de song, album en performer op de display van de Bose. Nu met de bluetooth verbinding staat er 'UNKOWN' op de display.

Na wat opzoekwerk zou het probleem dat de Bose een AVRCP 1.3 systeem gebruik om deze informatie door te sturen.

Wie kan hier een woordje uitleg over geven en waarom de iMac dit niet (?) ondersteund?

Zijn er omwegen?

If iTunes 12.2 or later was installed or upgraded to, be sure the option "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications" is checked. If it is not, the iTunes library will not be available for SoundTouch. To find this option, go to iTunes->Preferences->Advanced

I would also check the firewall settings to make sure the speaker in not being blocked.

1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen.
2. In the Apple menu, click "System Preferences.
3. Click the Security (or Security & Privacy) icon.
4. Click the Firewall tab.
5. Click on Firewall Options
6. In the options window that appears, be sure "Block all incoming connections" is not checked, "Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections" is checked, and "Enable stealth mode" is not checked.

If the applications were denied access to incoming network connections, they should appear in the list of programs that have been allowed or blocked. Locate the two SoundTouch files in the list, click on the "Block incoming connections" text and select the "Allow incoming connections" option that appears.

Het gaat hier over het streamen van muziek van de iMac, via Bluetooth, naar de SoundTouch.

De connectie van iTunes via Bluetooth naar de SoundTouch is geen probleem, deze speelt perfect door .... enkel het doorgeven van de informatie (album, performer ..) via AVRCP 1.3 lukt niet.

Volgens wat ik kan vinden zou Apple reeds versie 1.4 gebruiken (ben ik niet zeker) en zou de Bose dit niet aanvaarden?
