Detail
The swatch libraries are in the Adobe Illustrator 10/Presets/Swatches folder.
Solutions
Do one or more of the following:
Solution 1: Install Illustrator CS.
For upgrade information, visit the Adobe Web site at http://store.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml?id=catIllustrator .

1. Exit from Illustrator.
2. If you use a font management utility, disable it. Start Illustrator, and see if the swatch libraries appear.

4. If you use Mac OS X v10.2.8 or earlier, or if you use Windows, move a few fonts back to their original locations, and then restart Illustrator. If you use Mac OS X v10.3, re-enable a few fonts you disabled in step 3, and then restart Illustrator:
-- If the libraries appear, move a few more fonts back to their original locations, or re-enable them, and then repeat step 4.
-- If the libraries don't appear, determine which font is causing the problem, and delete it. Then, reinstall the font from its original source.
Background information
The AdobeFnt.lst files retain font information so that Illustrator doesn't need to parse each font when it starts. Damaged fonts or a damaged AdobeFnt.lst file can prevent the swatch libraries from appearing in Illustrator. Re-creating the AdobeFnt.lst files ensures that they aren't damaged.
