Ik heb een clean install gedaan en zo langzamerhand weer alle programma's die ik nodig heb er op gezet. De computer loopt weer goed! Van de week de WhatsApp desktop software er op gezet en inmiddels er weer afgegooid..... daardoor ging het opnieuw inloggen heel traag. Ook hoorde ik de computer 'werken' en  hier en daar een strandbal. Ik dacht, ik ga er niet op wachten, ik gooi het gelijk er weer af.

Volgens mij ziet het er goed uit zo.

Die Etrecheck ziet er goed uit. Ik snap niet dat je systeem traag loopt.
Tenzij Spotlight nog aan het indexeren is.

Enne: zet eens al je file sharing af. Ik zie dat je systeem vanalles van Teamviewer geladen heeft. Heb je dat momenteel nodig?
Gooi misschien Teamviewer eens uit je login items, en herstart.

Dit zijn ook de standaard snelheden van de 5400 RPM schijf die er nu in zit.

Bij een SSD gaat dat naar 500 MB/s en is de Mac een genot om mee te werken :)

Anno 2017 een prijzige iMac kopen met daarin een trage laptopschijf? Dit is Apple ten voeten uit. Maximale winst tegen minimale tegenprestaties.

Ik zou als eerste die HDD vervangen door een SSD. Daarna nog eens kijken. De kans is bijzonder groot dat het dan opgelost is.

Ook hier weer TeamViewer. Ik weet het niet, maar als er dit soort problemen zijn, zie ik TV er tussen staan. En hoeveel mensen gebruiken nou TV? Voor mij is dit een mogelijke bron van allerlei problemen.
Heb je TV echt nodig? Gooi het eens een tijdje eraf.

Ssd en genezen. Klaar.
Imac was 6 maand oud en tering traag. 100 euro en geen tijdverlies meer. Ik denk er nog meerdere te kopen voor de andere imacs hier.
Apple is niet meer wat 't was, maar beter dit dan windhoos vrees ik...
