iPhone niet zichtbaar in iTunes

Dit weekend mijn iPhone weer op mijn oude iMac aangesloten, maar nu wordt de iPhone niet meer in iTunes zichtbaar.
IOS 17.4.1 en El Capitan. De iPhone is wel zichtbaar in Fotos, en hij wordt wel opgeladen....

Waar kan het probleem zitten?

Go to https://developer.apple.com/account and create an account if you don't already have one.

Then go to
https://download.developer.apple.com/Developer_Tools/Xcode_15/Xcode_15.xip and download the .xip file. It will take awhile.

You won't be able to install it on an older macOS, but right-click it and choose "Show package contents."

In Contents, navigate to /Contents/Resources/Packages/MobileDevice.pkg. Double-click the .pkg, and its installer will launch. Go ahead and install. No restart needed after installation.

Now launch iTunes and connect your iPhone. iTunes should recognize it.

Zoals al gevraagd: is ie wel zichtbaar in de Finder?
Waarom zou je hier nog werk in steken? De combinatie iPhone/iTunes is voorbij, en je kunt allerlei zaken op een andere manier regelen; dus waarom zou je dit nog willen?

bacon:
Dat de combinatie iPhone/iTunes voorbij is, dat zal ongetwijfeld waar zijn, maar volgens mij kun je nog steeds contact maken computer/iPhone (iPad) met o.a. iExplorer en iMazing, inclusief back-ups.
