Maar mocht je een recente Mac mini of MacBook Air hebben en de update niet via Software Update uitvoeren dan moet je even opletten. Want voor deze twee modellen heeft Apple aparte updates op het web gezet, waarbij er meteen een paar probleempjes specifiek voor deze modellen zijn opgelost:

• OS X Lion 10.7.1 Update for MacBook Air and Mac mini 2011 (Client)

• Address an issue that may cause the system to become unresponsive when playing a video in Safari
• Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out
• Improve the reliability of Wi-Fi connections
• Resolve an issue that prevents transfer of your data, settings, and compatible applications to a new Mac running OS X Lion
• Resolve an issue where MacBook Air may boot up when MagSafe Adapter is attached
• Resolve an issue causing intermittent display flickering on MacBook Air
• Resolve an issue that causes the SD card slot in Mac mini to run at reduced speed with SD and SDHC media

• OS X Lion 10.7.1 Update for Mac mini 2011 (Server)

• Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out

Bij mijn nieuwe Mac mini stopte niet zozeer het geluid van de Optisch Out maar switchte hij gewoon eens in de zoveel tijd gewoon naar HDMI. Even Optisch Out selecteren en dan was het weer opgelost.

@ Nelis00: Maar is die bug nu met deze update opgelost?

Deze update heeft mijn MBA weer tot leven gebracht. Upgraden naar Lion zorgde voor uitschakelen geluid, uitschakelen backlit keyboard en continu torenhoge processoractiviteit zonder reden. Dus heeft het beestje een paar weken rustig in de stoffige lade moeten wachten op de verlosser. En daar was hij.
