Een Moog synthesizer van 10.000 dollar, nu voor maar 29,99De synthesizers van Moog zijn legendarisch, want die hebben aan de basis gestaan van de elektronische muziek van dit moment. Maar als je er een wilt kopen dan moet je goed gevulde zakken hebben, zo is de prijs van de Moog 15 volgens hun eigen site maar liefst 10.000 dollar.

Maar als je een iDevice hebt, en natuurlijk het liefst een iPad Pro oude grootte van het scherm, dan kan je jezelf erg veel geld besparen. Want het bedrijf heeft besloten om de Moog 15 helemaal na te maken voor iOS, waarmee dat meteen de eerste Moog synthesizer is die in de App Store te vinden is.

Omdat er voor de techniek onder andere Apple's Metal technologie gebruikt is werkt deze app alleen op 64-bit devices. Dat betekent een iPhone 5s of later, iPod touch 6 of later, iPad Air of later en de iPad Pro. En daar moet trouwens minimaal iOS 9.3 op staan. Als je zo'n device hebt dan is dit een buitenkansje, want voor maar € 29,99 in de iOS App Store heb je dan deze synthesizer compleet op je iDevice.

Each facet of the Moog Model 15 modular synthesizer has been meticulously recreated in this application to ensure the power and transcendent sound quality of each module remains intact. The Model 15 App features both monophonic and 4-voice polyphonic operation is easily commanded via 4 seamlessly integrated controllers. Simple swipes and taps provide instant access to a traditional Moog keyboard, 1150 ribbon controller, 8-step sequencing arpeggiator and the award-winning Animoog keyboard with 22 built-in scales and polyphonic modulation capabilities.

Also included are extended features which expand the capabilities of the app beyond the traditional offerings of the hardware Moog Model 15. These include total MIDI integration, assignment for external control, use as a MIDI controller, dedicated Audio Bridge and MIDI Bridge modules, looping recorder module with overdubbing, a master ping-pong delay module and a new extension cabinet that includes additional amplifiers and voltage-controlled reversible attenuators that can be used for effects like ring-modulation.

Because the Model 15 App utilizes Apple’s Metal technology, only 64-bit devices are supported. Compatible devices include iPhone 5s or newer, iPod touch 6 or newer, iPad Air or newer, and the iPad Pro.

In de app store op de iPad zelf zoeken op "Moog" of "Model 15" of welke combinatie dan ook, levert geen zoekresultaten op.

@ Jules: mogelijk omdat deze app nog maar net uit is..?

Er is één punt waar iOS voor mij in gebruik nog steeds mijlenver uitsteekt boven Android; en dat is met muziek-apps.

Geweldige apps als deze mis ik echt heel erg op mijn Android-devices.
