- GraphicsDrivers:  Quartz Composer was crashing opening simultaneous compositions simultaneously on some video cards

En ja, dit wordt een forse update. Net zo goed als dat 10.5.2 en 10.4.2 forse updates waren.

En die update komt dan toch vanzelf in het update venster naar boven?  

Zoals het altijd gebeurd? ik zou niet weten waar, maar nog veel belangrijker, waarom ik het op een andere manier zou moeten/willen doen. En dat geldt voor 99% van de gebruikers denk ik.

Sync Services: Filtering records fix

Ik moet mijn Appels nog updaten naar SL. Als ik nu een update versie koop krijg ik dan direct de .2 versie of moet ik eerst een versie installeren om vervolgens 2 uur te updaten ????  Of is het zo bij Apple dat je altijd de .0 versie koopt en de updates via het Internet krijgt ???

Ben pas OSX gaan gebruiken toe 10.5 uit was, en heb dus niet eerder een major update gehad.

Het installeren van een geheel nieuwe OS X kost je 20 minuten (zonder controle van de DVD, die je gewoon kunt skippen)

Het installeren van de meeste grote updates kosten je nog geen 5 minuten. Het downloaden gaat namelijk achter de schermen van start.

Als .2 uit is en je installeert een nieuwe SL op je machine zal alleen deze update geinstalleerd worden. Duurt zeker geen twee uur, meestal met een minuut of 10 klaar. Downloaden start als je op installeren klikt en ondertussen kun je (net als op Windows) gewoon doorwerken.

Zeg Sypie, dat mag best wat aardiger....

Ik wou idd net zeggen.........MacEvdZ gebruikt nog niet zo lang OSX en weet dit soort dingen dus niet. Ken beuren en daarom zijn wij er ook  

Je koopt idd altijd de .o versie en afhankelijk van de updates die op dat moment uit zijn worden die allemaal in 1x aangeboden in 1 donwload-pack. Dat kan dan best een groot bestand zijn. Ter illustratie de Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update is 795mb groot.

Een als je nog een 'oude' internetverbinding hebt, dan kan dat best even duren voordat ie binnen is. Bedoel je dat soms MacEvdZ?

Heb ik nog wel een vraag aan je, wat voor soort computers heb je? Niet alle   -s zijn nl. erg geschikt om naar 10.6 over te gaan.

anders heeft Apple een sidekick probleem...

2 uur was maar een dom voorbeeld (overdrijven maakt duidelijk). Begrijp dat ik het alleen maar onduidelijker gemaakt heb sorry was niet mijn bedoeling.

Toco heb redelijk nieuwe systemen. Deze kunnen SL zonder problemen draaien, toch dank voor je waarschuwing.

Updates kun je zo instellen dat ze al vast worden binnengehaald en op moment dat ze binnen zijn krijg je een melding om ze te installeren. Updates zijn in principe snel klaar (bij een gemiddelde breedbandverbinding)

Bij Apple koop je in principe altijd de .0 versie, zeker in het begin. Het zou best kunnen dat over een half jaar men de .2 versie op DVD verkoopt, afhankelijk van de voorraden denk ik.
