Man, man, man...

When not producing brand-new product lines, Apple also excels at innovation through iteration. Successful products like the MacBook Air and the iPad mini aren't "new" in the sense that the first iPhone or the first PowerBook laptops were new, but they combined new technology with new form factors to create products that are indisputably different from their larger predecessors and counterparts.Apple's innovation even extends to the way it sells these products to its customersthe company has an online storefront for its hardware, but its Apple Stores give it the opportunity to control exactly how its products are presented and sold in the real world. Apple has opened more than 400 of these stores worldwide since 2001, and they consistently top the list in important metrics like revenue per customer and sales per square foot. Apple has also led the digital sales chargethe iTunes Store played a huge role in the shift from physical media to digital media, and its iOS App Store has been emulated to varying degrees on just about every major smartphone and tablet platform. While the popular narrative among analysts and pundits is that the company has been headed downhill since Jobs' passing, consumers don't seem to be listening. Under new CEO Tim Cook, Apple continues to set sales records and its new products continue to generate long lines. The company sold over nine million units of the new iPhone 5S and 5C in their first weekend, breaking the previous record set by the iPhone 5. iOS 7, the latest version of the iPhone and iPad operating system, was also installed on over 200 million existing devices in the first five days after its release.

Vormgeving is hoe iets eruit ziet.
