FCP3 update zonder OS9

Ik heb de nieuwe iMac 17 inch 1GHz nu drie dagen. Geweldige machine alleen een probleem.
Ik ben in het bezit van een update FCP3
maar ik kan FCP1 en FCP2 niet installeren daat Claasic deze programma's niet ondersteund.
OS9 draait niet meer op de 1Ghz.  Wat te doen nu??Groeten

They informed me that they are sending full installation disks to registered owners of the Final Cut Pro 3 Upgrade that will install on OSX.
You will probably need:
Your hardware serial number
Your Final Cut Pro serial number
Proof of Purchase for Final Cut Pro
Access to a FAX machine to send proof of purchase

The (Final Cut Pro 3) upgrade depends upon an earlier (thus not native OS X) version installed. I don't recall all the details of installation, but the installation itself also requires some fiddling in OS9, there is simply NO way to install the upgrade on a new Macintosh - thus the reason for them providing OSX native installation disks.
This does not mean that Apple will send FCP 3 to owners of previous versions of FCP - it simply means that those of us who legally upgraded ($299) will be provided with disks that allow us to install the upgrade on a new Mac."http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/archives/feb03/022103.html

Ik kan hem wel installeren op een mac op mijn werk. Is het mogelijk hem dan via een externe HD mee te nemen?Wat moet ik dan behalve het programma nog meer mee kopieren?

Waarschijnlijk werkt dat niet Hans, heeft te maken met het System ID file.
Als je je software legaal gekocht hebt kan je gewoon apple bellen en sturen ze je een speciale cd waarmee het wel kan, zoals hierboven in mijn Post staat.
