Ook dit jaar heeft Time Magazine weer zijn lijst van 20 meest invloedrijke tech-mensen gepubliceerd, en er zijn maar liefst twee mensen van Apple daarop te vinden.

Want op plaats vier in deze lijst vinden we Tim Cook, Apple's Chief Operating Officer (CEO) en op plaats zeventien staat Jeff Williams, Apple's Chief Operating Officer. Het meest opvallend is misschien nog wel dat Time Magazine Jeff Williams als de tweede man bij Apple noemt.

Opvallend, want Tim Cook had dezelfde baan, Chief Operating Officer, toen Steve Jobs hem in 2011 vroeg om het stokje als CEO van hem over te nemen. Jeff Williams zou zo belangrijk zijn voor Tim Cook dat hij in dit profiel van Time genoemd wordt als 'Tim Cook's Tim Cook'.

He was named chief operating officer in late 2015, a post previously held by Cook, and has been overseeing Apple's entire supply chain since 2010, no small task given the complexity of the company's hardware operations. Williams also oversaw development of the Apple Watch, the company's first new product category during the Cook era and a sign he's closely involved with new projects.
