VLC Compileren voor OS 9

Ik wilde een oude mac pakken om daar filmpjes op te draaien. Zoveer dat mogelijk is. Hiervoor wilde ik VLC gebruiken. Alleen is er geen OS9 gecompilerde versie. Is het mogelijk deze te compileren.

En draait een MOV filmpje van 800x600 wel op een 200-250 mhz 603/604 machine?

ik denk wel dat een 250 MHz een .mov fullscreen kan afspelen ja, 200 is echt op het randje

BTW, waarom gebruik je niet gewoon QuickTime ? Loopt vééél beter op die oude bakken...

Er zijn 10 soorten mensen: zij die binair kunnen lezen, en de rest :-)

Moet ik wel pro hebben, toch? Het moet n.l. full screen en in een loop.

Is voor mijn reclame in mijn etalage. Daar draait nu een Windows PC met VLC maar die gebruikt 144 watt, terwijl b.v. een G3-333 maar 55 watt gebruik. En aangezien dat ding 9 uur per dag 5 dagen in de week draait is meer dan de helft aan energie gebruik wel welkom. En minder kans op vastlopen  :happy:

Note: There is not, and there will never be, a version for Mac OS 9.

Ja, maar men kan de source downloaden. En ik neem aan dat het C of C++ is en dat zou toch te compileren moeten zijn? Of niet?
