Weet iemand raad?
(sorry, kon het niet laten....)
Thanks Apple voor de snelle reaktie
Today i saw a little documentary on Dutch television whcih showed the head of pr of Hamas or Hezbollah, showing his new computer game, Strike Force, a first person shooter where the enemy was israel. He told there were two other games in development, one based on space invaders, in which the star of david replaced the aliens and anotherone based on pacman.
The United States did this earlier of course, with the Uncle Sam game America's Army, not to mention all the games which had the middle east as its enemy, starting with desert strike.
In this forum there have been discussions about games are art, but i'm afraid that these kind of developments show the shadow side of gaming becoming a more mainstream element of entertainment. Games are following literature and films as propaganda, imagine the joy goebbels would have felt, if he could have kids experience his message with the unique elements games can bring to people..
I'm feeling quite depressed now

Ieder zijn spel en zijn smaak
