Nu is het DOCK weer normaal, maar het icon Macintosh HD op het bureaublad nog niet.

Wat denken jullie eigenlijk van OnyX ?

Selecteer drive-icoon op bureaublad. Rechter muisknop Get Info.

Sleep icn daarheen. Of, als het niet lukt icn openen in voorvertoning. Kopieer en plak het icoon daar. Links boven, of bij de grote voorvertoning.

Een app die rommelt met systeem-caches, iets doet met de Launch Services database (mm, was daar niet iets mee aan de hand ..), en nog meer ingrepen op systeem niveau. Wie weet is het wel de oorzaak van dit gekke probleem .

Gebruik dat dus echt wel zelden.

Ja en nee (je 'mist' in ieder geval niets...). De werkwijze van @Ome Kor is grotendeels hetzelfde en misschien ook wel het resultaat in termen van goed of (nog) fout.

Momenteel zit ik op een "testaccount" dat ik heb aangemaakt, van waarop ik nu dit bericht zit te typen. Gewoon basic account zonder rechten.

Hier doet het zich (nog) niet voor, maar als ik overschakel naar mijn reguliere account is het er weer wel.

Het lijkt dan toch wel gerelateerd te zijn aan mijn reguliere account.

Zover waren we volgens mij wel, inderdaad. Dus is het andere software die dit (heeft) veroorzaakt.

Even een EltreCheck gemaakt op het "Testaccount".

Ik denk dat dit een mooi klusje voor jezelf is... 
Ik heb wel naar je rapport gekeken, maar er verder niet op gereageerd. Wat mij opviel zijn de vele crashes die worden genoemd en de vele launch deamons en systeem extensies. Zonder aan te kunnen wijzen wie wat verstoord zijn dit de reeds genoemde spelden in de hooiberg...

Als je geen problemen hebt in je test-account, zit het probleem dus 'ergens' in je normale account.

Ik heb inderdaad geprobeerd om een bruikbaar icoon op het bureaublad te krijgen.
In de meeste gevallen is dat na de eerste opstart alweer "doorstreept".

Kan je iets meer uitleg geven over die alias en hoe die dan aangemaakt wordt ?

Je kunt ook een keer diep ademhalen en overwegen hoeveel tijd je hier nog aan wil besteden . Laat het zo of verberg het HDD icoon op je Bureaublad. Beide opties wennen wel, echt.
