Wellicht een vraag die vaker is gesteld maar ik merk dat mijn iMac steeds trager opstart.


Als ik een pr0gramma wil opstarten dan zit ik minstens 20 seconden naar een dansend icoontje te kijken.
Dat was eerder nooit zo.
Ik heb een iMac Retina 5K 27-inch, late 2015 | 3.3 GHZ Quas-Core i% met 32 GB 1967 MHz DDR3 intern geheugen.
Mijn schijf heeft nog 1,85 van de 2.12 TB beschikbaar.
Ik heb alle programma's die er niet toe doen bij het opstarten gedeactiveerd.
Een tijd geleden een schone installatie gedaan.
Wat mij wel opvalt bij het Schijfhulpprogramma is dat ik onderstaande schijfstructuur zie en dat kan ik niet helemaal thuis brengen.
Is hier iets niet goed?

Wat betreft de dubbele Gegevens volume.... heb je een backup teruggezet?

Nee een 100% schone nieuwe installatie en daarna alles nieuw geinstalleerd.

Nog iets: is APFS wel zo geschikt voor een fusion drive? Ik dacht dat dit vooral ontwikkeld was voor interne SSDs.
Sorry hoor, ik ben een beetje een oldtimer, of zeg maar: technofiele luddiet.

Verder helemaal akkoord met macqintosh!

Tenslotte: heb je toevallig een bende vensters en tabs openstaan in je browser(s), die zich herstellen na herstart? Dat is iets wat enorm vertraagt.
Heb je jouw browsercache(s) al eens geleegd?

Ik heb ook een Fusion Drive in een late 2012 27" iMac model en bij mij is dat ook het APFS bestandssysteem. Is automatisch gegaan bij één of andere OS update. Een fusion Drive heeft ook een deel SSD.

Bingo: nu weten we waar het wellicht aan ligt: CleanMyMac is niet echt kwaadaardige soft, enkel overbodige, zoals ook andere virusscanners voor Mac OS.

Maaarre: ergens heeft je iMac Mackeeper opgelopen, en dat is echt kwaadaardige adware, die je Mac werkelijk lam kan leggen!
Deze rotzak heb je zeker opgelopen:

CleanMyMac niet doen. Hooguit Onyx. Safe Boot (met shift ingedrukt opstarten) en daarna herstarten, strijkt het nodige glad.

Programma's afsluiten kan, hoeft niet. Je Mac uitzetten is minder verstandig, vanwege de onderhoudsscripts die MacOS draait. Standby is niet onzuiniger dan afsluiten en weer opstarten.

MacKeeper is als een enge ziekte voor je Mac. Haal dat er direct af! Kan zelfs reden zijn voor een clean install.

Bollocks: je iMac heeft duidelijk MacKeeper (en een recente recente versie daarvan)
Run Malwarebytes opnieuw.
