Op mijn recent 2e-hands gekochte Mac Pro 5.1 (mid 2010) krijg ik op geen enkele boot-toetscombinatie een respons. Option- (Alt), Command-R, Command-Option-R, Command-Option-P-R, etc. zorgen er alleen voor dat de Mac Pro blijft hangen tijdens het opstart proces.

MacOS Sierra start normaal op en geïnstalleerde programma's werken ook probleemloos.
Ik heb heel veel ge-googled op het internet, maar geen antwoord of indicatie voor dit probleem kunnen vinden. Misschien hier iemand die dit bekend voor komt?

Hoe heb je die Sierra trouwensgeïnstalleerd? Je Etrecheck toont geen Recovery partitie. Vreemd.

Helaas jawel Pieterr. Te snel kruislezen helpt ook niet natuurlijk

De voorgestelde opties heb ik al geprobeerd.

Ben er inmiddels achter dat e.e.a. te maken heeft met het beveiligen van de Mac Pro (die doorgaans in een professionele omgeving wordt gebruikt) met een Firmware wachtwoord die ingegeven kan worden tijdens het installeren van het OS. Zo wordt voorkomen dat met een paar simpele toetscombinaties men toegang heeft tot opstartschijven, etc. Door even te googelen kwam ik erachter hoe dit wachtwoord te omzeilen.
