iMac reageert niet - beachball (Etrecheck gedaan)

Beste forumleden,

Sinds kort blijft mijn iMac zeer vaak hangen. Symptomen:
iMac komt niet uit slaapstand. Blijft hangen.
Apps starten zeer traag op en blijven geregeld hangen. Beachball icon verschijnt

Ik heb het volgende al bekeken:
CPU en RAM lijken geen probleem. Allebei voldoende bij het ' hangen'
Hardware checks geven geen fouten

Wat me opvalt is dat in safe mode de imac wel goed werkt.

Onderstaand 2 etrecheck rapporten. De eerste in normale modus, de tweede in safe modus.

Ziet hierin iemand iets vreemds wat het gedrag zou kunnen verklaren? Alle hulp wordt gewaardeerd.

Teamviewer is dat echt software die je nodig hebt op deze computer?

Er staat gewoon heel erg veel zooi op deze computer waar ik van zou denken weg er mee. Na zoveel jaar moet je juist leaner met je computer proberen te gaan werken en dingen die je niet echt gebruikt verwijderen. Meer RAM in je computer stoppen dan deze nodig heeft levert je helemaal niets (nada) op.

Wat doet dit ding?

Bedankt voor je reactie.

De imac wordt gebruikt door mijn vrouw. Bij problemen gebruik ik Teamviewer om op afstand te ondersteunen.

De punt is denk ik helder: overbodige software verwijderen. Ik ga er mee aan de slag. Wellicht zit hierin een oorzaak van de problemen.

In het EtreCheck rapport zie je ook een aantal keer de optie "Remove" staan, door daarop te klikken kan je EtreCheck al een hoop rotzooi laten verwijderen.

Verder zou ik deze iMac een keertje in veilige modus opstarten, soms is dat al voldoende om alles een stuk sneller te maken: https://support.apple.com/nl-nl/HT201262

Volgens mij moet je een keer Malwarebytes draaien.
Spigot was toch een vervelend malware?

En deze dan "Turbo Boost Switcher Pro.app". Die is bedoeld voor MacBooks om de batterij wat langer mee te laten gaan wanneer er om extra rekenkracht wordt gevraagd. Waarom zou je dat op een iMac installeren?

Dank voor alle suggesties. Ik ben ermee aan de slag gegaan.

Onnodige apps heb ik verwijderd.
CleanMyMac heb ik voor de zekerheid ook verwijderd
Malwarebytes gedraaid. Inderdaad wat malware in de vorm van spigot verwijderd.

Ik ga kijken of dit het gewenste effect heeft.

Natuurlijk hou ik jullie op de hoogte.

Ook grappig: ram je 24GB RAM in een iMac en vervolgens zit er een draaiende HDD in. Dat is zoiets als een ferrarimotor op diesel. De motor wil wel maar de bottleneck zit verderop.

Mijn voorstel: druk ook eens een SSD in die machine, dan gaat die écht als de brandweer.
