Kan er bijna een eitje op bakken. Mijn Mac Mini 2018 wordt ook als ik er nauwelijks iets op doe zo'n 60 a 75 graden (CPU volgens iMazing Hot)
Ik weet het niet zeker, maar denk dat dat is begonnen nadat ik Monterey (12.3.1) ben gaan gebruiken.
Maar kan dus ook een andere oorzaak hebben.

Lijkt me dat er iets mis is. Maar wat? En hoe komt iemand met veel ervaring in te weinig kennis daar achter?

Terug van weggeweest. Dank voor jullie antwoorden. Ik begrijp dat ik me over die temperatuur niet druk hoef te maken.
Dankzij die Etrecheck blijkt er wel veel achterstallig onderhoud (??) te zijn. Wat ik daarmee aanmoet weet ik niet. Ik ga me er eens in verdiepen en zien wat dat oplevert. Waar ik die Daemons vind bijv.
Maar wat betreft de oorspronkelijke vraag kan hier wat mij betreft een slotje op met dank aan Puk, Orange en nnsa.

Allemaal oude printerdrivers en antieke software en extensies, zoals Silverlight en Java, ik denk dat een herinstallatie wel wat problemen oplost!

Dat hangt ervan af: als je ouwe Firewire / ( en bij extensie ook Thunderbolt) interfaces dient
draaiende te houden is dat vaak de enige uitweg! Sic...

Cascading down from USB3 connector/ Thunderbolt3 protocol > Thunderbolt 2 > FireWire 800 > FireWire 400> Mini FireWire is best te doen, alle protocols luisteren en zijn downward compatibel, hoor!

Rogue process dat je in Activiteitenweergave makkelijk kan killen.
Ouwe meuk te lezen in je Etrecheck zit volgens mij nergens in je weg...
Maar iets is de systeemresources van je Mac Mini aan het opvreten...
Ik hoop dat we niet in de Console moeten duiken, want daar word ik zowat gek van...

ik vrees dat het niet helemaal gaat zoals ik wil en dat ik nu een paar keer hetzelfde screenshot heb verstuurd.... Ik heb teveel haast, moet over 5 minuten de deur uit. Laat he dus maar even zo.

Ik vrees dat je het advies van @MacFrankie ter harte moet nemen (herinstallatie). Om je MacMini weer vlekkeloos te laten presteren. Dit is geen kritiek van mij, maar een typisch voorbeeld van een door de jaren en jaren vervuild systeem…

Heb je Malwarebytes al eens gedraaid ?

Heb je echt al die Internet plug-ins nodig ?

En volgens mij staan er veel te veel programma’s tegelijk open. Begin eens met afsluiten van FireFox, als je die niet gebruikt.

Door teveel programma’s tegelijk open te hebben, loopt je geheugen vol en wordt er dan permanent geswapped naar je schijf. Hierdoor loopt de temperatuur ook op.

Wat is het toch fijn dat jullie meedenken. Heb zowel Malwarebytes als Drivedx gedraaid. Geven allebei aan dat alles gezond en ok is.
Ondanks dat, ik denk dat ik advies @MacFrankie en @nnsa wel eens ter harte moet gaan nemen. Het is waar dat ik al vele nieuwe Mac's heb gebruikt zonder een schone systeeminstallatie.
Ik loop tegen de 80, in m'n huis is ook veel te veel verzameld, wat ik steeds vaker de deur uit werk. Nu hetzelfde nog met m'n Macjes...

Heb dus mijn Mini maar eens opnieuw opgestart, en jawel het lijkt erop dat de temperatuur nu minder hoog oploopt. Zit nu (met weinig geopende apps rond de 50 graden.
Ik ga het eens even aanzien.
