In mijn activiteitenweergave zie ik het proces "reportcrash" met een CPU gebruik van ca 80%, dit proces verdwijnt en komt ook weer terug (binnen enkele seconde).

Zelf heb ik nu het idee dat er wat mis is met mijn systeem, klopt dit? En zoja wat kan ik er aan doen?

Voilà, dat is duidelijk. Ik weet niet precies wat ie doet maar 'Device-monitor' en 'helper app' klinkt meestal als iets dat extra features biedt maar niet noodzakelijk is. Kan zijn dat het in de printerdriver zit en je het niet apart kunt verwijderen.

Om te beginnen: uninstall die hele print utility eens en kijk of je printer ook zónder werkt. Heel vaak is de ingebouwde Apple driver goed genoeg voor een printer. En anders de nieuwste versie even downloaden bij HP en die installeren.

Ik ga proberen de HP-Utility opnieuw te installeren, hopelijk is dan het probleem weg.
