onder Mac worden dingen anders genoemd, en vaak anders genoteerd (wachtwoord ip.v. hex code)
Om te proberen een beetje licht in de duisternis te werpen heb ik hieronder wat gekopieerd.
Ik zou vooral alle soorten beveiliging proberen, en 128 bits WEP met een code/wachtwoord van exact 13 tekens heb ik prima werken hier met een airport express basestation, een Mac en een PC. Ik gebruik geen WPA omdat de windows client software van de usb adaptor dat niet aankan.

Wat de Mac een password noemt: ( Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP). This password can be between 8 and 63 ASCII characters, or if you choose to enter a Pre-Shared Key, it must be exactly 64 hexadecimal characters.
ASCII is de gehele alfabet + allerei leestekend, HEX is: abcdef0123456789

Wi-Fi Protected Access networks normally require a plain-text password or passphrase. But in rare cases (translate: you have a sadistic network admin) you may have to enter a string of 64 delightful hexadecimal characters.
The AirPort interface doesn't welcome this wonderful practice by default (imagine that), but it's buried in there for when you need it. Just hold down the Option key while choosing your network from the AirPort menu, then you'll be set to enter all 64 of those easy-to-remember characters.
