I have some really bad problems with my current internet...

First of all, we live in Belgium and have an internetinput from Telenet (an internetprovider). They give us around 200 mbps download speed (180 mbps if connected directly to the modem).
This modem is connected to the Time capsule which is located in the basement where the office is also located. In the office you get around 170-180 mbps. Until this point everything goes well but then the problems start.
The Time Capsule provides WiFi from its own of course but it can't reach the other levels that well so what I've done to solve it is that I bought an Airport Extreme and placed it in my room (first floor so 2 levels above the Time capsule) with 'bridgemode' on. Now the download speed remains the same in the office, on the ground floor you have almost no signal and it varies between 10-20 mbps and on the first floor it varies between 30-40 mbps...

What we have already tried:

- Place the Time Capsule on the ground floor but that didn't make a huge difference
- Place a third router on the ground floor (so basement Time Capsule, ground floor Lynksis and first floor Airport Extreme) but this strangely ended up in a slower downloads speed then before. 20-30 mbps on the ground floor.
- We bought a Devolo set (see links) but yet again this didn't change very much...
- We hired an expert in computers and a bit in Network but he didn't manage to solve it.

I'm sorry for the complicated explanation but ask your questions if you want information etc.

Als dat een ramp is heb je die zelf veroorzaakt. Wifi bereik is nu een keer beperkt en bouwkundige obstakels beperken dat tot een onbruikbaar niveau. In je specifieke situatie: boor een paar gaatjes en trek CAT5 of -6 ethernet kabels van de Telenet router naar de Time Capsule en naar de Airport Extreme.

De Devolo oplossing (signaal via elektrische kabels) zou wel moeten werken. Zitten je verschillende etages op verschillende fasen van je elektrische aansluiting? In dat geval komt het signaal mogelijk niet ver genoeg.

@ Zipperke: misschien ook een idee om bij dit draadje te vermelden of je het antwoord in het Nederlands of het Engels wilt.

Suggereerde hij andere oplossingen?
Voorzichtigheidshalve concludeer ik: neen.
Airport (wifi) is reuzegemakkelijk maar zoals alle via de ether gezonden signalen even reuzegemakkelijk aan interferentie onderhevig.

In professionele werkomgevingen – en ik neem aan dat dat bij jouw ook het geval is – eis je ongestoorde verbindingen. Hoe realiseer je die? Door vaste bekabeling. Daarmee heb je het  verbindingsprobleem 100% getackeld (totdat iemand een kabelgoot vernield)
Geloof me: wifi/airport is kleuterschool.
UTP/CAT-4, CAT-5 is de  betrouwbare standaard voor netwerkverbindingen.
