Als Apple iets aankondigt dat afwijkt van wat we gewend zijn dan duurt het zelden lang voordat fabrikanten komen met oplossingen die aansluiten op wat Apple aanbiedt. Want Apple heeft een grote markt, een markt met veel mensen die geen bezwaar hebben om wat uit te geven, en dus extra aantrekkelijk.

Apple zelf had meteen vandaag al wat USB-C accessoires in de online Apple Store staan, dat was eerder vandaag al op MacFreak te lezen in dit nieuwsbericht.

Maar er waren nog geen externe harddisks met USB-C te vinden, LaCie heeft er geen gras over laten groeien en is nu de fabrikant die als eerste Porsche Design harde schijven aankondigt, in 500 GB, 1 TB en 2 TB en met USB 3.0 snelheden.



LaCie is er trouwens snel bij met het aankondigen, maar deze harde schijven zullen pas volgend kwartaal beschikbaar zijn. Of LaCie dan echt de eerste is zullen we tegen die tijd wel zien.
