Nou, witter dan wit is wel extreem verdacht, vind je niet?

Witter dan wit is onmogelijk in integer kleuren zoals we ze nu kennen. En wat maakt zo'n bijna wit balkje nep?

En jpeg heeft er niets mee te maken, de artifacten zijn op beide gedeeltes gelijk en daarin heb ik niet gemeten. De jpeg compressie doet niets aan de RGB-waarden van een effen vlak.

Voor wat voor invloed JPEG heeft moet je eerst eens kijken wat het doet... (plus de effecten van viewers)

Hé, ik geloof dat de site momenteel down is (15/10/04; 17:00). Maar is ook te mooi om waar te zijn.
I.i.g een concurrent minder: ik ga lekker verder met de ontwikkeling van een G5-emulator die een 3 Ghz PPC emuleert op een C64. Ik verwacht 'm over 4 minuten klaar te hebben. Kost ongeveer €0,05 (ex. verzendkosten). Oh ja, en ik noem'm NutteloOS.

All of those who said I was too quick to jump on CherryOS for being dodgy, tonight the OSS community figured out it was nothing more than a ripoff of the source of PearPC. The idiot who wrote it didn't even bother to change certain wackily-named variables.

Shame, though. PearPC is agonizingly slow and I'd love to hook people on the Mac OS like I hook them on cra... I mean... pixie sticks.

Het lange wachten is nu voorbij aangezien Maui X-Stream de eerste versie van Cherry OS uitgebracht is.


Het pakket kost $49,95 maar er is ook een trial versie te downloaden. Voor de mensen die het willen uitproberen heb je volgens de makers een PC nodig met een:
Intel® (Pentium®, Pentium M®, Xeon™) of een AMD (Athlon™, Opteron™, Duron™) processor. Processor moet minimaal draaien op 1.6 GHz.
512MB RAM (1GB aanbevolen)
5GB beschikbare harde schijf ruimte (10GB aanbevolen)
CD ROM speler

Is dit nu de eerste emulator die op Windows draait en OS X kan draaien. Vroeger namelijk wel eens met Basillik o.i.d. gewerkt maar dat kon alleen maar met OS 9. Ik heb ook gehoord van PearPC maar dat wou volgens niet echt lekker draaien. Benieuwd wat dit gaat worden.
