Met name bij de Apple Watch werd in de afgelopen jaren steeds meer de nadruk op gezondheid gelegd, tijdens presentaties konden we zien dat daarvoor bij Apple grote praktijkstudies uitgevoerd worden. Logisch, het gebruik van technologie in de gezondheidszorg is een groeimarkt.

Het is dan ook zeker geen toeval dat Alex Gorsky, CEO van Johnson & Johnson, nu is toegetreden tot het bestuur van Apple. Johnson & Johnson heeft in Nederland de afgelopen tijd ook veel in de schijnwerpers gestaan. Want Janssen, één van de makers van de vaccins tegen Covid-19, is een dochterbedrijf van datzelfde Johnson & Johnson. Maar Johnson & Johnson doet natuurlijk veel meer.



Alex Gorsky begon in 1988 als vertegenwoordiger bij dit bedrijf, en heeft zich sindsdien dus tot de allerhoogste positie opgewerkt.

Natuurlijk had Apple’s CEO Tim Cook hier iets over te zeggen:
