Microsoft's Cortana komt ook naar de iPhone
De
iPhone is straks het device waarop de meeste stem-assistenten te vinden zijn. Want we hebben nu al Siri en de stem-assistent in
de Google app, binnenkort komt daar ook Cortana van Microsoft bij.
Want op de Windows blog is
te lezen dat Microsoft van plan is om een Cortana app uit te brengen voor iPhone en Android telefoons, en die zal samenwerken met Cortana op een PC met Windows 10.
Part of the power of a personal assistant comes from being available on the go, on the device you carry with you everywhere. And for people who don't have the benefit of a Windows phone, we want to extend the advantage of Cortana in Windows 10. How will this work? Today, we're announcing a Cortana application for Android phones and for iPhones which works as a companion to Cortana on your Windows 10 PC. The Phone Companion' app on the PC will help you install the Cortana app from the Google Play or Apple App Store onto your phone so you'll be able to take the intelligence of Cortana with you, wherever you go.
Bij Microsoft is het trouwens ook doorgedrongen dat ze in de mobiele markt nu een heel erg kleine speler zijn, in Windows 10 wordt het dan ook niet alleen makkelijk gemaakt om een Windows Phone te gebruiken, maar ook een Android telefoon of iPhone zal gaan werken met de Phone Companion app die in Windows 10 ingebouwd zal zijn.
