Het is vandaag precies toen jaar geleden dat Steve Jobs tijdens de Macworld Expo het toneel opkwam, en begon met de woorden: "Dit is een dag waar ik 2,5 jaar naar heb uitgekeken. Van tijd tot tijd komt er een revolutionair product voorbij, dat alles verandert."

Daarna zette hij het publiek langzaam maar zeker steeds verder op het verkeerde been, door eerst een widescreen iPod met touch controls, daarna een revolutionaire nieuwe telefoon en als laatste een revolutionair internet device dat in je zak past aan te kondigen.

De rest is historie, want achteraf had Steve het natuurlijk over één device die al die dingen combineerde: de iPhone.



Inmiddels zijn we tien jaar verder en zijn smartphones nu zo normaal geworden dat kinderen die in de afgelopen periode zijn geboren waarschijnlijk moeite hebben om zich een wereld zonder voor te stellen. Timothy Cook kan misschien een gedegen CEO ziijn.
Hij mist toch het flair van Steve Jobs.

De manier waarop hij 10 jaar terug de iPhone introduceert ...
Tja, legendarisch. Jammer dat daar geen betere

Je zou er toch heimwee naar krijgen.

Fijne herinneringen aan de keynote. En zo ook aan Steve Jobs zijn manier van een keynote voeren. Humor, hier en daar zelfspot, arrogantie, een sneer links en rechts: in ieder geval leuk om naar te luisteren, kijken en daarmee ... Wat een verschil met Tim Cook ...

Zeg dat wel Doctor Apple! En deze Keynote was wat mij betreft ook de meest legendarische. Ik keek live mee ("waar was je toen SJ de iPhone introduceerde?"   ), toen uiteindelijk de demo kwam en je de interface zag dacht ik in een science-fiction film beland te zijn.
