Procreate is niet alleen een populaire app voor iDevices voor het maken van schetsen, schilderijen en illustraties, het is ook één van de apps die laat zien dat betaalde apps op iOS wel degelijk bestaansrecht kunnen hebben (Procreate kost € 10,99).

Van deze app kwam gisteren versie 4.1 uit, en dat blijkt een erg grote update, de lijst is indrukwekkend. De versie die nu in de iOS App Store staat is trouwens niet 4.1 maar 4.1.1, die ook gisteren uit werd gebracht. Waarschijnlijk was die extra update nodig om een bug op te lossen, want de release notes zijn dezelfde als voor versie 4.1 dat dus eerder op dezelfde dag verscheen.



In de video's hierboven kan je een aantal van de nieuwe functies van Procreate 4.1 in actie zien. Als je het wil kopen, het te vinden in de iOS App Store via deze link. Om Procreate te gebruiken moet je wel een iDevice hebben dat iOS 11.1 aankan, want dat is het minimum voor deze app.

Dat laatste lijkt voor deze app geen probleem, want die is vooral interessant voor gebruikers met een iPad en Apple Pencil, en alle iPads die de Apple Pencil ondersteunen kunnen ook iOS 11.1 draaien.

Entire Brush Sets can now be exported and imported for your convenience and pleasure.

Now you can export social media ready 30-second Time-lapse Recordings, as well as those delicious long ones.

• Other Stuff
There’s also a bunch of nifty little changes, including better interaction with QuickLine, a color Invert option for layers, and significant improvements to Transform resampling.
