Apple heeft sinds gisteravond eindelijk iOS 10.2 op de servers staan. Eindelijk, niet omdat we hier zo met smacht op hebben zitten te wachten, er waren geen grote problemen met de voorgaande versie, maar vooral omdat het lang duurde en er opvallend veel beta-versies voorbij kwamen voordat deze nieuwe versie van iOS 10 uitkwam.

Voor ons is deze update trouwens minder interessant dan voor iedereen in de VS, want die krijgen et iOS 10.2 een nieuwe TV app, een programmagids voor erg veel content die je op de Apple TV kan zien. Daarbij is Netflix trouwens wel de opvallende afwezige, misschien dat de content daarvan later nog aan deze app toegevoegd kan en zal worden.

Apple zelf heeft het over de volgende verbeteringen voor TV:

Verlossing voor de broekzakbellers.

Het gedrag van de home-knop is verder aan te passen. In plaats van Siri of Stembediening, is nu ook in te stellen dat niets gebeurt bij het inhouden van de knop. Voornamelijk iPhone 7-gebruikers klagen dat ze Siri soms onbedoeld activeren.
