We built on the success of the XPS 27 to make the new one even better. For starters, customers can order it with two different Haswell processor options: the i5 or the i7. But the performance increase over previous generations is about more than just the processor itself. The display on the new XPS 27 features Adobe RGB technology which broadens the spectrum of colors, improving the sRGB rating from 72% on the previous display to 99% on the new one. This increase provides a near true color experience. We’ve also increased the maximum brightness on the new XPS 27 to 350 nits—up from 300.

Deze Dell AIO zal, voorzien van Thunderbolt en BluRay drive, niet goedkoop zijn, maar ik verwacht dat het een aanzienlijk deel van het iMac marktaandeel af zal snoepen: de optische schijf (vrijwel niemand gebruikt hem meer) en het zelf kunnen upgraden (niemand doet het, op geheugen na, maar daar gaat het niet om) van bepaalde onderdelen trekt veel kopers over de lijn.

Denk je echt dat deze Dell concurreert met de iMac?

En denk je dat veel mensen die 'in' zijn voor een Windows computer en er zoveel aan uit willen geven?

Volgens mij is hier niet veel publiek voor...

Geef gewoon toe: Dell krijgt hier de credits van Intel boven Apple (waar Paul Stevens Otellini vroeger de nieuwtjes aan Steve Jobs gaf...)

Ik kan je nu 3 introducties verklappen:
- in 2014 komt Apple met MacBooks en Macs met de 5e generatie Intel Core i chips (werknaam Roswell);
- in 2015 komt Apple met MacBooks en Macs met de 6e generatie Intel Core i chips (werknaam Rockwell);
- in 2016 komt Apple met MacBooks en Macs met de 7e generatie Intel Core i chips (werknaam Rocky Bridge).

Na Haswell komt Broadwell en daarna waarschijnlijk Skylake en Skymont, maw bovenstaande beweringen zijn maar wat geneuzel, maar goed daar maak ik verder geen punt van

Volgende maand komen er MacBooks met Haswell processoren, en Dell zegt nu al dat ze met kerst computers met Haswell gaan leveren.
