iDVD crasht tijdens stadium 4 van het branden van een DVD-schijfje.
Het project is aangemaakt in iPHOTO en bestaat uit meerdere diavoorstellingen.
De diavoorstelling is zo ingesteld dat de foto's in elkaar overvloeien (voor zover dat er iets toe doet).
Het programma crasht tijdens stadium 4 > MULTIPLEXEN en BRANDEN.

Ik maak gebruik van een G4 iMAC.

Weet iemand hier een oplossing voor?

Heb je deze versie overgekopieerd van een andere Mac, dus niet vanaf de originele DVD geinstalleerd ?

Als dit een JA is dan is dat hoogstwaarschijnlijk je probleem, alles werkt prima, totdat hij stadium 4 ingaat. Oplossing, vanaf de DVD opnieuw installeren, klaar. Succes

Het programma stond er al op bij de aankoop van de iMAC.
Misschien is het idee om het opnieuw te installeren vanaf de CD?

Kost weinig tijd en dan weet je zeker dat het dit niet het probleem is. Hij zou inderdaad goed moeten zijn. Ik zou het proberen, nee, heb je, en ja......

welke melding komt er precies op je scherm? buffer underrun of iets anders?

Hij geeft alleen de melding dat het programma onverwachts is afgesloten.
Na een keer het hele proces gevolgd te hebben zag ik dat het gebeurt vlak na de overgang naar stadium 4.

De voorkeuren van idvd4 kunnen corupt zij, misschien verwijder je deze best eens. zoek een bestand met de naam com.apple.iDVD.plist en verwijder dit.  iDVD zal nieuwe vorkeuren genereren wanneer je het terug opstart. leeg de vuilbak en herstart indien nodig.

permissies repareren kan ook altijd helpen.

Dat heb ik al een keer geprobeerd.

wat ik ook nog gevonden heb is het volgende:

Crashing during encoding/burning? Check your audio, it should be 48.000kHz - 16 bit when working with iMovie 4 and QT Pro 6.5 .dv files (not something like 44100KHz ~ MiniDisk, as an example, may cause DVD burning issues)...convert  and try again. Note that saved QT movies  from iMovie 3 may not have the proper audio settings for iDVD  4. Confirm your iMovie 3 audio settings.

48.000kHz  - 16-bit (not 12-bit....check your camera)

Note: 44.100kHz audio rate in a QT .dv (...not a song... or a .mov file) will cause DVD burning issues.

AUDIO PROBLEMS:

You can add AAC, MP3, Apple Loseless and AIFF audio files to your iDVD projects.

You can check your audio settings by opening your .dv movie in Quicktime Player and using the menu 'Window/Show Movie Info'... (If the sample size is marked as "Unknown", you need to change it as well).

To change to 48.000kHz, when saving to a .dv file from iMovie, use the menu 'File/Share...' (see following image)

Choose 'Expert Settings'

Hit 'Share'

Choose 'Movie to DV  Stream'... hit 'Options'

On the 'DV Export Settings' dialog, choose 'DV Format: DV' and 'Rate: 48.000kHz'

Hit 'OK'

Hit 'Save' and close iMovie.

Note: QT Pro save and set is similar, and needed if you have a file too large (+2gb) to re-open with iMovie in the first place.

In iDVD, use the 'File/Import Video'... menu, or drag/drop into your iDVD project - do not hand off directly from iMovie (via the iDVD button) using this procedure. If you experience a loss of audio, be sure to apply the iMovie 4.0.1 update, which is also said to help with pixelated video.
