Hi Hans,

We've been busy the last weeks finishing up the Slick 9 & 10 software.  Many
thanks for your help and feedback in the testing process.  We've worked hard
to advance the capabilities of iMovie, while preserving the ease-of-use you
expect.  We even have a nice built-in help screens for most of the plug-ins
with configuration dialogs.

A press release will go out that will hopefully reach the major Mac news
sites on Monday.  But I wanted this team to be the first to know.

Check out all of the plug-ins in our re-designed web site.  With so many
plug-ins, we decided to display the volumes as "galleries", hopefully making
navigation a bit easier. And there are lots of example movies.

Mooi spul, maar wel duur. Je kunt bijna net zo goed FCP kopen. Ik heb zelf Slick 5&6 en gebruik ze graag, maar ik kreeg ze destijds gratis bij mijn bijna nieuwe Mac. Ik denk niet dat ik snel $50 neertel voor zo'n pakket.

Some new things in this release:

Slick 9
   * Over 40 "object" transitions. Once you see them, you'll know what I
     mean.
   * Video objects - fun frames for a picture-in-picture overlay
   * PDF Scroll - create a document with mixed fonts, styles, sizes and
     colors.  Add graphics if you like.  Save it as a PDF and use it to
     make long scrolling titles.  Will overlay on top of your clip with
     transparency.
   * PDF Slide Slide Show - like PDF Scroll except if shows one page of the
     PDF at a time, like a - slide show.

Slick 10
   * Over 60 transitions.  The scissor transition is my favorite.
   * A nice lighting effects plug-in.  Create a new ambiance to your video.
   * Motion Wall - create moving strips of clips to fill the screen
   * Multi-Track - control multiple overlay tracks at the same time -
     in/out points, location and scale.
   * Multi-View - Show multiple "views" of the same clip.  Each view can be
     scaled, cropped, placed anywhere on the screen, and have independent
     in/out points.  But every view stays in synch.
   * Skew/Distort - just like the name says

Still to come:
   * Help files will be completed (ignore them for now)
   * A very cool multi-camera plug-in.  Switch from up to 4 video streams,
     while keeping them all in synch.
