Weet iemand misschien hoe ik dit kan oplossen?

In Quark wil ik een index maken, alleen het document wat ik heb heeft geen automatische basispagina.
Dan weigert XPress en index te genereren.

Weet iemand misschien hoe ik dit toch voor elkaar kan krijgen???
Het document opnieuw maken is geen optie en knippen en plakken in een nieuw document is ook geen optie.
Daarvoor is het een te complex document.

Wie weet een oplossing?

Misschien niet de snelste oplossing voor jouw probleem, maar wel een goede: er is een plugin voor 6.5 dat "IndeXTension" heet. D.m.v. markeren van woorden/zinnen kun je een index maken zonder afhankelijk te zijn van een automatische basispagina. Deze plugin is te verkrijgen bij Vision's Edge (visionsedge.com).

Misschien heb je hier wat aan.

Dank je wel voor je oplossing. Ik was er mee bezig toen ik een antworod kreeg van een ander forum.
Het blijkt ook anders te kunnen. Zie maar:

There is an easy fix for your problem. Create a new (additional) master page, make a text box that is snapped to each of the blue master margin guides, and make sure to use the text-chain tool to link the chain icon in the upper-left corner to the text box. If you use facing pages, link the icon on the other page to the text box on the other page (but don't link the two master-page text boxes to each other). When you choose Build Index from the Utilities menu, there will be a selection for which master page the new pages created by the index function will be based upon. Just select the new master page you just created.
