Als ik mijn filmpjes wil omzetten
dan stopt handbrake in eens.

Ik zie dat je Siera draait (10.12.1) en volgens mij werkt Handbrake niet meer
met beveiligde DVD's na 10.10 Yosemite. Misschien even checken op hun site

Dat zal best kunnen dat Handbrake niet op Sierra kan draaien.
Op de site kan ik het niet vinden (met andere woorden kan het niet lezen  :wink: )

Ik heb op de link van Viool geklikt en gekeken bij "News".
maar als je de Engelse taal niet goed beheerst is het aardig lastig om er achterkomen wat daar staat.

Gokje? Download en installeer de nieuwste Handbrake uit de link van iEscape.

Die heeft wellicht een nieuwe decoder aan boord: FDK-AAC encoder Mac

Je ouwe geeft mogelijk al die Dylib fouten, en laat je queue stoppen.

Niks van aantrekken.

Ik heb zeer waarschijnlijk de bel horen luiden........ maar voor mijn beeld:

Hoef je libdvd nu niet meer te installeren omdat FDK-AAC de vervanger is, of sla ik de plank mis?

Ik heb zo een vermoeden dat de nieuwste versie van Handbrake FDK-AAC bevat, maar ook dat dit een audio codec is.

Juist, dus, dit heeft met beeld niks te maken. Fraunhofer Institute is de dev van MP3 en meer audio.

Ik geloof dat ik de laatste versie van Hanbrake heb geïnstalleerd want ik werk niet zo lang met het programma.
Update: Ik heb de laatste versie van handbrake.

Helaas blijft het probleem zig voordoen.
Kleine bestanden gaat het goed.
DVD's rippen gaat soms goed dan loopt hij door maar vaak fout dan stopt hij onverwachts.

Heb je Disney video's in de queue staan? Welnu, daar kan Handbrake niks mee.

Disney video's bevatten Disney X-Project DRM, en die codec zit niet in libdvdcss van VLC waar Handbrake en ik denk ook ffmpeg op steunen.

Wellicht same deal met Sony: ArccOS copy protection.

En dan wijst weer alle research naar MacX DVD Ripper Pro, zoals iEscape ook al heeft gezegd.
Die vreet ze allemaal.

Nee geen Disney  (wel goed om te weten dat Disney niet op Handbrake werkt)
Ik heb de DVD gebruikt van Mamm Mia the movie.

Heeft hem geript maar....
Wel in 21 scènes. /lose bestanden.
En ik wil natuurlijk 1 film met menu's (scène selection )

Dat zijn namelijk de normale en legitieme bestanden waaruit een DVD is opgebouwd.
VTS_01_1.VOB file is het eerste echte stukje van je film, de rest van je film kan tot VTS_01_99.VOB file gaan dacht ik.

Vroeger veegde ik die vaak in Toast Titanium vanuit Fairmount om er weer een mooie DVD of ISO van te maken.
Toast maakte ook een mooie menustructuur aan dacht ik.
Nu is Toast zooo lang geleden...

Ben je zeker dat je MacX DVD ripper pro voorkeuren goed staan? Rip je naar een folder of rip je naar een ISO? Dat dient een ISO te zijn denk ik.

Nou Ik kan niet met zekerheid zeggen of ik de voorkeuren goed hebt ingesteld.
Keurig deze stappen gevolgt:\Ik stop orginele DVD in de drive.

maar hij maakt keurig 21 filmpjes ipv 1 film (met een menu structuur)

Dan maar weer verder: rechts-/ control klik op je DVD > Show package contents.

Kies het grootste Video_TS bestand en rip dat. Lukt het dan netjes?

Blijkbaar is je video bovendien niet getranscodeerd naar MP4, dat is de reden waarom Quicktime die niet afspeelt.
Quicktime speelt geen video_TS, VLC wél.

Vergeten de settings voor je doelbestand juist te zetten misschien?

Ik geloof dat ik alles een beetje door krijgt (mocht eens tijd worden  :wink: )
Ik hang nog in de menutjes tijd van de DVD.....dat bestaat "digitaal" niet meer.(dat zit gewoon in iTunes zelf heb ik ontdekt)
Nu zijn al die losse bestanden de bonus matriaal van de DVD.
Nu moet ik een manier te vinden om dit alles 1 bestand te maken zodat de ondertiteling in het bestand blijft.

Wat ik wil:
De film plus het bonus matriaal op itunes hebben. Inc ondertiteling.  
(Net als of je een film hebt gekocht in iTunes)
Ik wil niet de hoofdfilm en 20 losse "bonus matriaal" bestanden in Itunes.

Alle bestanden heeft ondertiteling dat kan je op de DVD zelf instellen.
Als ik de DVD in de Imac laad met macx ripper kan ik instellen welke ondertiteling ik wil (ik kan er maar 1 kiezen).
En ik kan alle promovideo's wegsmijten.

Er blijft dus over 21 bestanden inc ondertiteling die ik kan afspelen op VLC.
Deze bestanden moeten samen gevoegt worden om 1 bestand te worden.
Ik wil alles organiseren in ITunes om overzichtelijk te houden en later naar Apple tv te streamen.

In iTunes heb ik keurig mijn cd's geladen.
Alles wat 1 album is ook 1 album (en geen losse nummer ) met hun eigen album afbeelding en metadata.
En dit wil ik ook met mijn DVD's doen.
Keurig de fim Mamma Mia the movie met afbeelding  (dat gaat mij lukken) dat inc de bonus matriaal  (dat lukt mij nog niet)

Zo deed ik het vroeger:

- DVD rippen met Fairmount.
- Selectieve Video_TS compilatie maken met Toast Titanium, alle ogewenste talen wegsmijten,
evenals ongewenste promo previews.
Dit vooral omwille van de 4,7 GB limiet van single layer DVDRs ( ja, we praten hier over ± 8 jaar geleden).

iEscape stelt voor om een compilatie te maken met iSkysoft Video Editor
Hoe het dan met talenkeuze en ondertitelkeuze is gesteld weet ik niet.

Misschien is na het rippen ook Subler iets voor jou. Die schijnt mooi te integreren met VLC, maar ook Quicktime. Hoe dat precies werkt weet ik echter niet.

Met het programma MKV kon ik mijn hoofdfilm van de DVD Rippen (geloof ik, ik heb zo veel gedaan dat ik het even  niet meer weet) en met handbrake de juiste ondertitels en de juiste bestand (M4V) om te zetten.
Handebrake loopt daar door niet meer vast en ik heb er maar bij neer gelegt dat de extras niet één bestand kan.
